Burger Sauce (5 Minute Recipe!)
Give your next veggie burger an upgrade with this easy burger sauce! It’s made with pantry staples, which means you can mix it up anytime you need it.

This recipe is exactly what you think it is: burger sauce is a sauce for putting on burgers (and Veggie Burgers). But friends, it is so much more than that! You can use it for dipping ALL the things, from Sweet Potato Fries to onion rings and more. It’s creamy, sweet, tangy, and savoury. I know you’re going to love it as much as I do!

Notes on Ingredients
Here’s a quick breakdown of the ingredients you’ll need to make this easy vegan burger sauce. Scroll down to the recipe card to find the ingredient quantities and recipe instructions.
- Vegan mayonnaise – I love using my homemade Vegan Mayo, but store-bought is fine too.
- Ketchup – I like to use one that’s made without high fructose corn syrup.
- Yellow mustard – For extra tanginess! You can swap in a stronger mustard if you’d like.
- Sweet pickle relish – If you’re not a relish fan, you can use finely chopped pickles.
- White vinegar – Apple cider vinegar is a good substitute if you don’t have white vinegar on hand.
- Seasonings – Garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
How to Make Vegan Burger Sauce
As promised, it’s ridiculously easy! Here’s what you’ll need to do:

- Mix ingredients. Whisk the mayo, ketchup, mustard, relish, vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika in a bowl.
- Season. Add salt and black pepper to taste.
- Chill or use. Refrigerate for 15–30 minutes to bring the flavours together, or use the burger sauce immediately.
My Favourite Ways to Use This Sauce
I’m sure you’ll come up with some of your own ways to use burger sauce, but here are my favourites:
- Burgers. Of course! Try this sauce on your favorite frozen vegan burger patty, or my Quinoa Burgers.
- Fries. Burger sauce is also great as a dipping sauce for fries! I love it with these Air Fryer Shoestring Fries.
- Sandwiches. It would be fantastic on a Chopped Cheese Sandwich, too.
- Wings. Dip Cheesy Buffalo Cauliflower Wings into this sauce instead of ranch!

How to Store
Store burger sauce in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week. Stir it before each use.
