Vegan Mint Chocolate Coffee Shake
This Mint Chocolate Coffee Shake will wake you up in the morning! It’s smooth, deliciously chocolatey and so easy to make!
My latest California musings: the food scene is completely off the charts. Also, the weather. It was pretty hot two weeks ago, then the last two weeks have been absolutely frigid, with one day dropping to 7 degrees Celsius! Today was much warmer (thank God!) so much so that I stood in the sun. As a result, I’m finally ready to say it: I could use a smoothie/shake!
I have been having all the warm foods because of this cold weather. With a suitcase full of rompers and cute tees, I ended up walk-no running to the mall to get a few sweaters, a pair of boots, two light coats and a couple of other items. Now that it’s finally warming up – please stay that way – I’m ready for the spring foods. Some smoothies, some greens and some yummy breakfast meals. Case in point: This Mint Chocolate Coffee Shake. P.S. There’s a secret ingredient in it that I know you’ll love.
Don’t you feel invigorated just by that name?! I feel completely awake already.
The point of this beautiful shake/smoothie is to wake you up in the morning! The mint flavour + the chocolate + the coffee comes together so beautifully and really shakes things up for you. But, what’s that missing secret ingredient? The Silk Vanilla Almond Creamer! I love this creamer and it pairs so beautifully here because it really gives this mint chocolate coffee shake that coffee from the store feel. It adds the right amount of subtle sweetness with a nutty flavour that complements the entire smoothie. Reasons to love the Silk Vanilla Almond Creamer:
- that nutty flavour
- It’s incredibly smooth
- It’s vegan and gluten free and made with only good for you ingredients
- It’s made with responsibly sourced California almonds
- It tastes so good in this smoothie!
I would totally love this as a breakfast with maybe some protein powder, or as a delicious dessert. Thanks to the ingredients – bananas, Silk Vanilla Almond Creamer, Silk Almondmilk, coffee, unsweetened chocolate, coconut flakes and mint leaves – you can get that sweetness you’re desiring without loading up on calories. Also, it has such a beautifully rich colour that you’ll absolutely love.
P.S. if you’re feeling extra minty – feel free to add a drop of peppermint extract. It’ll keep you feeling cool and totally awake!
Enjoy friends!

Yum! So I treated myself to a vitamix about a month ago and I’ve been making smoothies of all kinds for breakfast. This was really yummy on a Monday morning to get me motivated. And, I’m always looking for ways to use my mint plant. Great recipe that I will be repeating again. Thank you.
