Sesame Shiitake Mushrooms

These Sticky Sesame Shiitake Mushrooms are the perfect mix of sweet, salty and umami!


Dried Shiitake Mushrooms Sesame Oil Cornstarch Maple Syrup Liquid Aminos Sesame Seeds Ginger Scallions

Add mushrooms to a bowl and pour hot water over them. Ensure they are pushed into the water. Leave to soak for 5 to 20 minutes.

Dry the mushrooms, then slice them into thick slices and coat in cornstarch until totally covered.

Fry mushrooms in sesame oil until crisp on both sides, about 3 to 5 minutes, then transfer them to a bowl.

In the same pan, stir in all sauce ingredients. Add in the mushrooms, and toss to coat, until they become thick and sticky.

Serve with noodles,  hot rice or anything you choose.
