Cut tempeh into thin slices, and steam for
10 minutes to remove the bitterness.
Stir together all the other ingredients and add in the slightly cooled tempeh. Let it marinate for at least 2 hours.
Cook tempeh bacon about 2-3 minutes on each side. Remove from heat, and pour over any extra marinade.
