Garlic Confit

Homemade garlic confit is buttery, rich, and garlicky—but a delicious mellow kind of garlicky without the sharpness of fresh garlic!

Simple Ingredients

You'll only need garlic, herbs, and oil to make this easy recipe.

Separate and peel all of the garlic cloves.

Place the cloves in a small pan with the herbs. Pour in enough oil to cover the cloves completely.

Cook garlic in a pan over medium heat until bubbles form, then reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Remove the pan from the heat and allow the oil to cool completely. The garlic will deepen in colour. Remove the herbs before storing.
