2teaspoonsloose Earl Grey tea or 1 Earl Grey tea bag4g
3/4cupunsweetened plant milkoat or almond work well – 180mL
1tablespoonmaple syrupto taste – 15mL
1/4teaspoonvanilla extract1.25mL
Instructions
Bring the water just to a boil in a small saucepan or kettle. Pour the hot water over the Earl Grey tea and steep for 3–5 minutes, depending on how strong you like it. Remove the tea leaves or tea bag.
In a small saucepan, gently heat the plant milk over medium-low heat until hot but not boiling. If you like foam, froth the warm milk using a handheld frother or whisk vigorously.
Stir the maple syrup and vanilla extract into the hot tea until fully dissolved.
Pour the hot tea into a large mug. Slowly add the warm (or frothed) plant milk on top.
Taste and adjust sweetness if needed. Serve immediately while hot, with a light sprinkle of cinnamon if desired.
