Simple Ingredients

You'll only need long-grain white rice and a few other ingredients to make this easy recipe.

Cook the onions in a large pot over medium heat for 5-6 minutes.

Add the garlic and cook for another 2 minutes, stirring frequently.

Stir in the red bell peppers and cook for 4 to 5 minutes.

Stir in the cumin and season with salt to taste.

Then add the beans and rice.

Pour in the bean broth, bay leaf, and salt, and bring to a boil.

Reduce the heat and cover the pot. Then cook the rice for 15-20 minutes.

Remove from heat, but leave the lid on. Let it rest for 15 minutes, then fluff with a fork and serve.
