My Top 25 Amazon Purchases for Easy Meal Prep
Here are my Top 25 Amazon Purchases for Easy Meal Prep! I use most of these every single time I meal prep and they help me to get into a simple and peaceful routine. Everything you’ll need for easy, flawless and fun meal prepping! I also share some of my fave meal prep uses for these items!
Here’s a simple, honest and slightly dramatic fact: I am who I am because of my Amazon Prime purchases. Okay, you saw my warning about it being slightly dramatic, right? Well here’s the thing: I buy basically everything on Amazon. My matcha that fuels me? Check. The sheets/comforter/pillows/silk pillowcase I sleep on? Check. The products I use to meal prep? Check check check and the list goes on.
As the meal prep month of the year comes to a close (is it just me, or did January zip by?!) I want to prepare you for the rest of the year by finally sharing My Top 25 Amazon Purchases for Easy Meal Prep. I’m talking about the things that I find myself using on a regular while I’m meal prepping that help to make it way easier for me and something I actually look forward to. Also, since they’re all from amazon you can add them all to your cart (oh the simplicity – I love it) or you’re save for later and bam! Meal prep problems solved all at once. Also, I’m hoping this list helps because I know you guys are always wondering I use in the kitchen.
There’s nothing complicated on this list at all because it’s filled with all the things I actually do use, over and over again. Including the things I’ve used *so* much I should probably replace with. Looking at you, my trusty food processor. She’s been better days, but she’s still kicking!
If you’re not sure what meal prepping is or you want a refresher, be sure to check out my Meal Prep 101 Guide. An updated version of that is coming soon! Also remember, make meal prep what it is for you! You don’t have to do it all on Sunday, or on Sunday at all! Sometimes we prep for the week, sometimes just for a few days. Cooking is supposed to be a fun activity that reaps beautiful rewards, so be sure to enjoy it with all your new shiny buys!
If you buy nothing else on this list, buy these. They are life-changing. Sometime over the last two years, I switched out all my plastic products to glass and I’ve never looked back. Not only is buying glass better for the environment, but let’s be real - it’s also prettier! Washing is so much easier too because it doesn’t carry a scent. Be sure when washing these to always remove the white lining and let it all dry separately! Also Pro Tip: you can use these in the oven so you can meal prep and cook right in them!!! We own 10 of these so that really helps that meal prepping ahead. They also store well in the freezer. Try: Cauliflower Fried Rice Having high-quality baking sheets are crucial for meal prep. They’re perfect for baking large amounts of veggies and proteins! Try: Fall Nourish Buddha Bowl When baking on your baking sheets, always always use a silicone mat! I prefer this to foil 1,000 times because it’s constantly reusable and so easy to clean too. Nothing ever sticks to mine, not even “caked on” sauces. I own so many of these - in the original Silpat brand and the Amazon brand. The amazon brand is way cheaper and works just as well. Try: Roasted Sweet Potato Soup This is Gav's favourite cast iron! The grill marks really take everything you cook from "yeah" to "YEAH!". But really, it makes fantastic tofu, grilled vegetables and burgers! Try: Vegan Quinoa Veggie Burgers I use these cashews every single time I meal prep! I love cashews for sauces of all kinds and always find a way to incorporate them into my meal prep. Plus, they're at a wonderful price here and are always fresh. Try: Vegan Garlic Alfredo Pasta Hello, Alexa! I don't think a meal prep has ever passed without me using my Amazon Alexa. It's perfect for conversions, timers, temperatures and best of all, playing the perfect mood music while cooking. Try: Vegan Cranberry Meatballs I LOVE my Weck Jars! My goodness, they’re so perfect for storage. I personally love them for large quantities of sauces (like my jerk sauce), for quinoa, rice and nut butters or like vegan yogurt. They’re very easy to clean but I highly recommend buying extra elastics as they get slack within a year. These glass containers are perfect if you're making something saucy that you don't necessarily want to get all over your starch. Case in point, yogurt and granola, a curry and rice/quinoa, the list goes on! They're just as great as the ones above, and give you some variety. Try: Coconut Chickpea Curry WHO would I be without my Stasher bags?! These reusable food bags are not only chic, but they're also eco-friendly and truly work. I use them in the fridge and the freezer and have stored everything from bananas to energy bites to curry chickpea salad! Grab a few of these for sure. If you're looking for a more cost-friendly option, I also own these rezip bags. They come in all sorts of shapes and sizes so I would recommend grabbing a few different varieties. Try: Stovetop Popcorn These smaller weck jars are perfect for small amounts of meal prep items like pestos, balsamic glaze, or maybe some leftovers. These are the best knives! This isn't my exact set (I bought mine in Williams Sonoma) but they're the closest I could find to my set. This + their sharpener means these knives really do last you a lifetime. Try: Best Vegan Lasagna Recipe Oh my Le Creuset! I fell in love all over again when I was gifted this. Honestly, it makes me want to cook which is always a meal prep bonus. It's perfectly non-stick, is great for cooking large quantities, and you can put it in the oven so less dishes to wash! Try: Chickpea Tikka Masala I love this blender! I also own the Vitamix and the Blendtec, and this one is the most cost-friendly one and is also the easiest to clean. Perfect for meal prep! Hello, my best friend! Use your food processor anywhere you can. Chopping onions/lots of veggies? Food processor. Sauces, pesto, nut butter...the list goes on for the uses. I love making my energy bites in these! Again, another cost-friendly purchase and mine has been through hell and back (including a literal fire) and is still standing! Mason Jars are perfect for everything! I love storing my chia puddings in these, as well as when I'm doing any pickling. Gav loves them for storing his Asian sauces. We were gifted these pots as a wedding gift and they’ve stood up the test of time for sure. They still work as well as day one, handle heat well and honestly make cooking an overall breeze. Try: Indian Butter Cauliflower If you don't think meal prep when you see muffin pans, think again! I love muffin pans for making my quiche muffins (which are perfect for meal prep) and my oatmeal cups! They're great for portion sizes. This is my preferred slow cooker! I love the beep and that it immediately goes into warm mode after everything is done, and I love the size! Try: Slow Cooker Butter Tofu I really need to share some Instant Pot recipes! This is great for things that usually take longer to cook (read: steel-cut oats) by cutting the time down a lot, and helps you to breeze through meal prep! My cast iron pot is honestly one of my top 10 favourite buys EVER (I should make that a post!). I believe everyone should own at least one cast iron pan because once you season it, it’s the perfect pan. I use it for everything except tomatoes/very acidic foods. I love making pizzas in this or sticking it in the oven to finish off a meal prep item. Try: Vegan Chili Cornbread Casserole Be gone days of weighing down my tofu with several books and endless amounts of paper towel. The tofu press is here to save the day! The Tofu Press presses tofu perfectly, and I don’t have to play kitchen Jenga every time I want to press tofu. It does what it says, basically! No meal prep is complete without measuring spoons! Especially if you're following a recipe, this takes all the guesswork out of it. Honestly, these little salad dressing bottles are such a life saver for your salads! They're actually leak-proof, store the perfect amount of dressing and are so helpful because you won't have a soggy salad by the time lunch time comes around. Plus, they're adorable! My Top 25 Amazon Purchases for Easy Meal Prep
