This Saturday, Jessiker Bakes alongside Mali B’s Jerk had two food booths at the annual fundraising event by the Jamaica Cancer Society “Relay for Life” ! Every year several companies, teams and individuals come together to donate and to walk laps in honour of those we know who have survived cancer and in memory of those who have passed. The event lasts from 6 pm to 6 am the next morning so it’s quite a lot! I had to go home for more baked goods the way everything was selling out! I attend every year but for the first time Jessiker Bakes attended! My friend Malcolm has a new restaurant named Mali B’s Jerk that has amazing jerked chicken, pork, festival, corn…and we had a booth set up together. Take a quick look at what we went through!

P.S. I’m so lucky to have such great friends! Thanks of course to Malcolm as we worked together in everything and Tamar who also had a booth with us and helped with organizing a lot of things but unfortunately we didn’t get any pictures (a GSAT tutoring program).

Many thanks to Jessica who helped to set up the booth, decorate and sell all night long!  Yanique who helped with selling and collecting money, Omar who advertised the booth and came to help me as a sous chef by lining cupcake liners among other things and helping to carry back extra stuff, Andre who kept us laughing with his compliments to buyers and selling techniques, and to everyone else who came out to support in any way they could!
