One of the things I love about being vegetarian is that I’m no longer stuck in the mindset of “Can I get a chicken burger please?”. I’m allergic to both pork and beef, so this was always my own option so you’d think I would’ve branched out. Nope. Now, I’m all over burger land. We’re talking quinoa burgers, black bean burgers, farro, tofu (love tofu!!), sweet potato..the list goes on and on. It is amazing how many options there are!
This is where Kellog’s MorningStar comes in, offering a Fresh Take on Meals for you. I’m definitely all for making your burgers from scratch, as I do majority of the time. But cue the days where you’re home, tired from a long day of work and want something quick, healthy and delicious to eat – Kellog’s MorningStar Vegetarian Burgers! I’m completely in love with their new line of products especially the Spicy Black Bean Burger and the Roasted Garlic & Quinoa Burger, and the Mediterranean Chickpea Burger definitely is up there on my favourites list too. My little brother is obsessed with their Buffalo Chik’n Patty; like, the top of my freezer is lined in the products. I’ve grabbed a few of his nuggets before and trust me when I say they are good, and you’re full in no time! It’s always a relief to know there are ready made healthy products we can eat, and I encourage you to use this as your opportunity to try out some of these variations of burgers; you’ll love it! The beans and grains used are so versatile and create such a filling product – Mr. Bakes is definitely into it too.
